Bardonecchia (Bar-don-neck-E-a) - Small Mountain Town in the Alps, 1 Hr From Torino

…ok so I know I wrote yesterdays post basically about Bardonecchia but I figured it was a good word for today too….and yes you are all so fortunate to get two posts in one day (haha not really, it was just a lot for me to cover in one, and I wrote Saturday’s post in my notebook last night since I didn’t bring my computer to the mountain)….today was sooo relaxing, it was exactly what I was wanting for the weekend….it was truly awesome…
…we all slept in today and then of course got ready and were off to get caffe J…..then the boys headed off to the ski hill and Eliana and I met up with Claudia….we went downtown to window shop and go to the grocery store (which I love those places, what can I say, my parents raised a traveler not a tourist J)…..and then we headed back to the house to make some food for Giacomo…
….we walked from the flat over to the ski hill, which was absolutely stunning 15 minute walk….(aside from getting splashed from all the cars in the slush)….through a little forest, with pines which made this St. Maries kid soooo happy J….and then it opened up to the mountians….we called Simone and just sat outside of the bar, watching all the skiers and snowboarders while we waited for them to make their way down….since we had about an hour and a half until Giacomo’s lessons we all hung out and grabbed some lunch…..my first hamburger in Italy….not bad, but definently not as good as America….odd to have food here that wasn’t absolutely delicious haha….and by the time we were done with lunch, Giacomo was off to his 3 hour ski class that he has every Sunday, and Simone was off to ski some more on his own…
…Elie and I headed back to the flat, to simply just hang out….oh goodness it was awesome!....I used the iPad (only way to get wifi there) to do a little Facebooking, and pinteresting….and then I read a little and ended up taking a nap….god it was so nice J….when the boys got home, we headed back to Torino….

…the rest of the evening was getting all settled back in for the week….dinner and such….and I am just now sitting down for the Super Bowl in about a half hour….believe it or not, it is actually televised here on the actual main Italian channels….trust me “super bowl” “Seattle Seahawks” and “Denver Broncos” are THE weirdest words to hear broadcasted with an Italian accent J….only downside is I probably wont get all the good commercials (which lets be honest is one of the best parts of  it all)….I most likely will only really make it until halftime and then wake up to a text telling me the final score J….but have fun everyone!...enjoy the fantastic American holiday that is SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!....and of course, GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!
Also incase anyone is wondering we are 4 sleeps out from the OLYMPICS!!!! just supportin my Team today....
