Meraviglia (m-air-ah-vee-lee-ah) - Marvel

…today was simply totally packed! but yet somehow the most relaxing day, ive ever had while traveling! J we got up this morning about 8:30 got ready and went to the Carrefore Market across the street to get some breakfast things and were off to the Louvre!....

… we went crazy, we originally went only to see the bigies, Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, Napoleon’s Coronation and a few others but honestly spent about 3 hours looking through a majority of it all and man it was just completely MASSIVE! We kept saying to each other, can you believe this was someone’s house? It was so cool and I think everyone must see it in their lives…..the Mona Lisa was actually bigger than people made her out to be and it was amazing to be able to see it in person! It is definitely different from pictures, so awe inspiring!...

…after the Louvre, we grabbed lunch from a food cart right outside called Paul, it had actually been recommended on TripAdvisor and man it was so good!....man I know it is France and it should be, but the baguette here is SOOOO DELISH!!! ….we took our lunches in the big garden between the Louvre and the Arc de Carousel, and simply sat, ate, people watched, and let our feet relax from all the museum walking….
…after an hours or so we headed off to the Arc de Triumph…and of course by way of the Champs Elysees, the biggest shopping street in paris….it was wonderful (good thing I had Paolo or I could’ve done some serious damage….when we reached it, it was amazing….just so SO big!....we walked under through the tunnel beneath the roundabout (surrounding it – where the Tour de France isJ) we sat and just marveled really….took some more people watching before I decided I needed a good soda from MickeyD’s to wake me up (I was tired from a mix of not good sleep, lots of great sun, and traveling oh! And really little water haha)…
…se we were off again and it was NUTS!...we stood in line for the most expensive soda ever!! But it was soooooooooooo perfect!...we then set off to the Eiffel Tower to just hang out and do and early dinner before the time we had tickets to actually go up inside it!!
…it was a good wander, and when we got there it was the best people watching!  A fantastic dance crew too J after a bit we went down to the tower and for some different sandwiches, this time I had a “Croquet Monsiuer” – ham and cheese grilled cheese sandwich, covered in more melted cheese…it was so freaking good!!...when it was finally our tune we went up and first let me tell you, its so so so worth to book early tickets online, you skip the line ENTIRELY!....so great not sure how much more expensive they are than at the tower but we still only paid 13euros to go up to the tip top!..

…so basically we by passed everyone in the GIANT line, breezed through the security, and really only waited a few minutes for an elevator and then it was just a change of elevators at the 2nd floor before getting all the way to the summit! And goodness the view was mind blowing and breath taking!...it was so amazing just thinking of where we were at and how high up we were! It was fun to pick out what we knew or had visited already, the Arc, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and tomorrows journey, the Church of Saint Coeur….J
we spent forever at the top just taking pictures and marveling….it was kinda funny tho,,,all the couple up taking kissing pictures and stuff…while I was there with a guy who isn’t my boyfriend….we got quite the kick out of it….ere go, the facebook album name, “Molly & Paolo’s Platonic Adventures in Paris”
….after spending a long time at the top, we took the elevator down to the 2nd level to look around, marvel some more and take more pictures J….i said a few more thousand times how much I am in love with the Eiffel Tower,,,and then we got to see the light show go off at 9pm J it was so beautiful and magical!! Ahhhh….i totally love that place J….

 J
…after the lights we headed down to the ground (elevator wait took quite a while)….grabbed crepes again (I am also in love with those) and metroed back to the hotel….marveling the whole ride about all the incredible things we got to see today!....truly it was an amazing day!
